Probably from mistaking the amount of money people had contributed as backers of the product on the crowd funding site you linked to, for the cost of the product.

In any case, it looks mildly interesting, but I personally dont consider anything on a crowdfunding site an actual product, until its an actual product. Before that, its just a snazzy presentation designed to get people to give them money without much (if any) recourse.

A lot of Indigogo and Kickstarter products are just over priced version of cheap products from China. Once saw a ratcheting belt on KS for like $50. I went to HK for vacation and got the same belt for $7 for 2.
