Some of these issues sound like the prototypes were too heavy for the steering, soft suspension and braking systems they were using. Heavier duty braking, Stronger steering and suspension or a lighter vehicle will be needed. That could be the reason the vehicle seems to be getting smaller. Possible weight reduction.
