Given the issues we know about with people breaking into the cars ... along with the fact that Tesla's alarm cannot be installed into older models, I looked into a solution for my 2014 MS. Viper has a product called "Invisbeam" which sounds similar to what Tesla added. Does anyone know if it is possible to add functionality to Tesla's alarm? Otherwise I'll have to install it stand alone. In addition to the Invisibeam they have glass break sensors.
I'll also be getting some "Viper" stickers which I'll install on the rear corner windows. Hopefully that will be a sufficient deterrent to begin ...
