On a long trip our 75D X on 20inch will do 200 miles at 70mph easy, slow down and in summer and I can get well over 250 miles on a charge with no issues.

Currently in English mild winter I would put 180 miles as the 'comfortable' range without worrying about slowing down. Anyone whos driven in England will know trying to do a 180 mile trip equates to about 4 hrs of non stop driving on our congested roads, so needing to stop is almost mandatory!!

I currently have a set of 22inch wheels ready to go on the X. I expect at least a 10% drop in range, which in summer is not an issue, but in winter it might be. So my plan is to fit the 22inch come next summer, and use the current 20inch in winter - along with some all season tyres.

I will be interested to see what kind of consumption I see with 22inch wheels, as on long trips I rarely if ever see anything above 400Wh/mile currently even in cold weather with rain etc.

SHORT distance trips are another matter, as the need to heat the cabin kills consumption. I regularly see 450Wh/mile+ on my 6 mile commute to work. I don't expect the 22s to change short range consumption but we'll see.

I'll report back in 6 months time, 22s on a white X does lool aweason :).
