Just ordered M3 RWD SR 2023 at $37,870 in Ohio, want to trade in either 2017 Honda CRV EX with 39 CF carge space and 76 CF w/2nd Row down (85K mileage), or 2023 Hyundai Kona Limited with 19.2 CF cargo space(6K mileage). 2017 CRV EX is out of warranty with trade-in price of ($17,700), and 2023 Kona has 10yrs/100K miles warranty with trade-in price of $26,440 ( I bought it at full price $35,950 last October).

Excellent condition on my CRV with the bigger space for 2nd row and cargo space I do like. But if I trade in it for Model 3, we will have two small cars for our 4 member family.

Question? which car should I trade-in, 2017 CRV EX or 2023 Kona Limited.

Thank you for your comments.

My advice would be to trade the out-of-warranty CR-V and keep the practically new Kona. I think the M3 and Kona should be fine for a family of four. Are these trade-in prices through Tesla? Did you shop the cars around to places like CarMax, Carvana, etc.?

Regarding the $37,870 price of the M3, I assume that excludes the mandatory destination and order fees. Keep in mind that the actual retail price would be closer to $39,500.

Yes, the price $37,830 (I was wrong, sorry) which is with inventory discount of $2410 from the retail price of $40,240. Not include destination charge and ordering fee.

I checked both CarMax and Carvana, they don't give me any better deal than Tesla, Tesla gives me CRV now $18500, but CarMax and Carvana will give me $17k.

CRV does have huge cargo space than 2023 Kona, which was my big mistake for buying Kona without enough research.

Thank you very much for your comments.
