Kudos to Tesla Seattle - Free PPF

My work calls ended early Friday, so I decided to head to Tesla Renton here in Seattle to return a charge adapter I bought (wrong 4 prong) and ask if they have any rear door PPF kits since they are sold out online.

As the parts advisor is looking up my car (picked up early August) he says my car should have it already. He gets a service advisor to run outside and look. Confirms I don’t have it, apologizes profusely as it looks like it was missed during vehicle prep, and says “Do you have 10-15 minutes? If you can pull around back to the detail tent we can get that fixed for you right now.”

So I went from hoping I could buy a kit for $50 to install at home to getting it installed by a pro for free. That’s some damn good customer service folks.

i didnt get a rear ppf when i picked up couple weeks ago. i did get the mudflaps though

If true, I recommend sending them a note or heading in. It sounds like big delivery days can be ~100 cars to prep and they sometimes run out of supplies.

That's awesome to hear they helped you like this. That rear wheel impact area gets eaten alive when doing highway driving, and especially on a logging road or freshly sanded highway in the winter.
