Long distance traveling

With my Roadster I am thinking to take it out for long distance traveling through EU. Let's say I want to go from Southern Netherlands to Dolomites in Italy taking some scenic routes. (I love the idea already :)

Does anybody have experience in finding high current charging spots to allow some more traveling than 1 tank (300 km) per day?

When I have resolved my own fast charging needs I am willing to help others on their journey by providing access to my charging port.

Start with lemnet.org. Germany has a large number of 32A charge points. In Switzerland check in addition with TexxEnergy (http://www.texxenergy.ch/). They have several along the route south. If you plan a dash across some more passes (after snow melt) I can highly recommend Susten-Grimsel-Furka and then Gotthard. On the Grimsel there are two points with 32A provided for cars: Handeck and Grimsel Hospiz (charming hotels and restaurants, both) For those check with "Kraftwerke Oberhasli AG" (http://www.grimselstrom.ch/). Further South through Switzerland lemnet.org lists numerous 32A places and these are currently being converted to the European "Park and Charge" system. Lemnet.org leads you to the information. You might consider getting a "Park and Charge" key for Switzerland.

Those "colonnine" appear to be rather for bicycles or scooters. Are there any 32A connections around?

Don't know. It's stated that it's a charging point from Coloumb and it's on a fair, so I would be surprised if it's only 16 A. I'll have to check personally to be sure.

@baslemmens: I would take both connectors, the spare and the universal. The more possibilities, the better.

Edit: Found something in Bolzano, but it's ultra lame²... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-OA2iyYQ2U

depending on when you start your tour and which route you want to take here some suggestions :

End of Februar I'll have me "public" charging station (0-24h) ready ("Drehstromkiste") with 400V@32A, I'm already at lemnet.org but until february only with 230@16A
(look for Hueckelhoven in lemnet.org)

juwi in Woerstadt has a 400V@32A with a Tesla connector, I already charged there and driving the country roads there is a great fun.

My employer , SEW, has a not yet public 400@32A charging point at our HQ in Bruchsal. I can give you access to it.
(guess who's idea this charging point was :) )

If you want to stay in this area overnight => http://kreuzberghof.de, 400V@16A, I'm not sure if they have 400@32A, I'll check on 10.2., when I'm there again.

recommended adaptors : CEE230@16A(blue) to Schuko. CEE400V@16A male to CEE400V@32A female

I often travel from Hueckelhoven to Bruchsal along the A61 or A3. Next time I'll visit some charging points from Lemnet.org near the A61.
I think this people deserve some publicity for offering these charging points.

BTW : take the route through the rhine valley to "The Loreley". It's very beautiful there in spring and summer.

Looks like a private parking space in Bolzano? Will it be available if you would like to use it?

It's not private, it's there for everyone. The charging as you can see in the video is with Schuko and therefore 16 Amps. Don't know if you have to pay, it seems free of charge.
I'll post here if I get more details about charging points in and around Bolzano.
