Hi, may I ask you why this is needed? We can't just plug the bluetooth device directly in the obd2 port of our tesla?
Thank you, I'm new in the tesla world. :)

I don't know about 2021 Model S and X OBDII ports but prior models' do not provide any useful information.

Thus, you need to find its CAN port and convert it to an OBDII port so you can plug your device on that.

What info do you get thats usueful?
There are thousands of cells in your battery pack. By accessing through the CAN bus, you can pinpoint which group of cells are dying and which are healthy.

My miles just suddenly dropped. The CAN bus can tell you the pack was cold by giving you a number but now it's automatically heated up with a specific number which explains why my miles have dropped when I thought it did that for "no reasons"...

I bought a used Tesla. The odometer says it's very old 90,000 miles but the CAN bus can tell me that the battery is pretty much brand new and it only has only used 1,000 miles...
