If they're not in California, chances are they're getting VINs at the moment, regardless of order date... :(

I guess you can take solace that I'm in WA, ordered 10/25 and also don't have a VIN yet, so it's not just Californians. I posted somewhere else, but I also ordered a wall charger on the 7th of November and was charged, but it still hasn't shipped. The electrician I had lined up is getting impatient with me.

Am in Bellevue, ordered on 11/26, not a word from the SA (supposed to call, does not reply to emails), just trying to understand if there is any hope to get our car by 12/18 as we will be abroad after that, hopes not too high at this point, although all this really seems to work quite randomly!

On another note, if you are around here, which electrician are you working with? Contacted a few recommended on TMC, no one is responding! Thanks.

In Bellevue, ordered 11/22. SA asked me if I will be around last two weeks of Dec to take delivery. No VIN yet, of course, but assuming we will be taking delivery in the last two weeks (right before folks in CA).

I scheduled an electrician and expect work to be done next week. He was referred by another who installed his charger. Not sure if I should post a recommendation before work is done -- don't want to recommend someone without seeing their work.

PS : Can send a PM with the electrician I scheduled.

Being from California and going away for the holidays through the new year, I doubted I'd get my M3 anytime soon. Like many of you, I was told last week of December. I didn't want to miss it after waiting all this time, so I called my delivery center and a specialist found me stealth model with almost all the specs I wanted - minus the white interior for only $1k more! I took it!

Should have my car next week!

Sure, because when I ordered in Sept they said 2 weeks so surely its on me to clear out my calendar so I don't miss an unknown 2 day delivery window in Dec. :/

Keep drinking the Kool-aid my friend, but to me its the principle of it. To each their own.

Something doesn't seem right about your order. I haven't seen anyone waiting as long as you have. Are you sure you've checked off every box in the process? Have you spoken directly to a delivery person at Tesla? Even the people in Colorado that ordered late Oct/early Nov are starting to get VIN assignments. Your situation is definitely out of the norm. I'd be calling Tesla corporate at this point.

Yea, I have every check box finished in the progress since early Oct. I have spoken to a few delivery people at Tesla that basically say to just be patient, they are starting to see deliveries at my delivery location. Not really sure how to escalate it past the SA.

You just convinced me to do the same. They had a stealth that was an exact match for me in pre-production. I guess the extra $2k will offset losing the FTC as they just told me my Oct 10 order wouldn’t be delivered till at least Dec 27, when we’re out of town.

Now, fingers crossed pre-production to delivery happens before the 20th!

Nice move! the pre-production for me started on Nov. 28th and ended today when I was texted that my car would be ready in a few days. It left Fremont! I noticed most on spreadsheet is 3-5 days but you really never know. Good luck. I will report my delivery experience soon.

That's awesome! Congrats!!

Just received an email from a Delivery Support Specialist in Las Vegas. I guess this is different from my local Sales Advisor I’ve been in contact with since test drive / order took place and is slowly progressing?
And now I’ve received this text message...

I can’t go any further until Tesla finalizes my trade-in (my SA told me yesterday he was having a problem uploading my CarMax offer he is supposed to be matching into their system). Once trade-in is finalized I will know the exact amount to be financed in the MVPA to provide to my credit union.

Anyone else get this text message and if so, does this really mean I will likely miss my delivery due to these hang-ups? My trade-in is still pending, therefore I don’t have my funding finalized (although I’ve been pre-approved from my c.u.) and finished.

I finally have a delivery date. Delivery to San Antonio (store) (no tesla store in my area)Texas on 12/20 and spoke to my SA and he mentioned that i should ignore that date as it can be earlier. VIN never showed up on manage page but I found it on source code two days ago and called my SA to verify it for insurance policies.

PS; was also told that since there is no tesla store in my area then my car would be delivered by a direct carrier so they would know nothing about the car...no worries its not like i haven't been watched videos since i ordered.

Good luck to everyone! I hope it comes before the end of the month.

specs:
M3 midnight silver, LR, no FSD, 18 wheels and black interior
delivery to south texas
reserved 11/17
ordered 11/30
delivery date 12/20
VIN in source code 12/4

Just so people in my area feels better. Or for myself to feel better. Ordered in Bellevue, WA on October 30, 2019 (got all of the paper work done the same day, paying cash). LR AWD with FSD. Still no delivery date or VIN in source. However the SA did e-mail for to "be prepare" for call from delivery agent.
