Its also useless if someone rocks up with a flat bed truck picks up the car and drives off - as a gang was doing in Knightsbridge with high valued cars a few years ago.
When our X was been towed to and from the service centre I thought I will 'track' the car via the App....absolutely useless, even when the car was sat in my drive for a good 15 minutes it thought it was still at the Birmingham service centre whilst the GPS was waiting to update it self!!
Similar thing happens when you take the car to Europe in a ferry or via the channel. It takes a good 15-30 minutes for the GPS to update once you arrive in Europe.
