From a small city south of Boston, and I'm finally think that Electric cars are the Future, Just as long as they keep developing New & Long lasting Batteries...Everyone knows that at first recharged Batts are Great...but that go downhill gradually ...and then Dead !! Kaput !!!....throw them away time..

Hi, @Davp99,

Glad to see you on TMC! If you look around, you'll find a New England-specific forum. You'll also find a section devoted to battery issues, which may be particularly interesting to you. By the way, the topic of battery degradation is of big interest to many folks here. People are wondering whether Tesla battery packs might last 15 or 20 years before degrading to "only" 70%-80% capacity. Tesla also recycles its battery packs and batteries, so it's not quite "throw them away time". :) There are people on this forum with 70K, 80K, over 100K miles on their vehicles, and their battery packs are still going strong.

Good luck,
Alan
