Messages on a screen

When I did drive I see some messages pop up on my screen but it disappear quickly . Is there a way to see previous messages? Basically log. See example where is message appear

Most messages will be saved up near the top right of the screen with a"!" icon. If you have a message there, tap the ! and it will list it.

Can't recall exactly where, but all messages are accessible along with their prefixed code. Just saw this yesterday. Will update this once I find the spot again.
