I need two new tyres on my LR, I've read the BVRLA guidelines for leased cars and it states that the car needs to be returned with manufacturer approved tyres.

I was going to fit a couple of Pilot 4's but the 5's get good reviews and can get them cheaper at my local garage. Doesn't say Tesla approved on any of the sites but surely they are just an updated tyre??

Nope, not manufacture approved, but they do have to be premium and be of the same width, size, weight class etc (I'm not sure what classifies a premium tyre?)

Lots (Threads) talk about CrossClimates, Vredestein Quatrac Pro (I have these and have lasted 36k and still going!!) etc

Tesla M3's came with either P4s, also some came with Hankook branded tyres.

The "Insulated" p4s have the TO (Tesla Approved) markings but the Hankooks don't but they did come with them from Tesla
