Mobile Charge Adapter Question

Good Morning. I have a question on the wall plug adapters for mobile chargers.

My 2018 Model S came with the charger pack that has the regular wall plug and the NEMA 14-50. My understanding is new cars are not being shipped with the 14-50 so I wanted to buy an additional adapter for my X that's on the way. On the website, the adapters appear to be pig tails and i cannot tell what the charger side of the pig tail looks like. Attached is a photo of the female (wall) side of my current charger. The second photo is of the adapter that goes into this. Will the pig tails on tesla.com fit this mobile charger or is the ModelX coming with a different style mobile charger that fits the pig tails?

No, Gen1 and Gen2 adapters are not interchangeable.
First, you need to find out whether your Model X will come with Gen1 or Gen2 mobile charger, then buy the corresponding adapter.
If your plan is to use a Gen1 charger, then you need a Gen1 adapter.

I wasn't sure if my existing charger was Gen1 or Gen2. You're saying it's definitely Gen1, correct?

I'll just wait to see what i get with the new one, but I assume it'd be Gen2?

Yes, what you have is a Gen1 adapter.
