I am not familiar with how Bluetooth hearing aids work in cars. But I'm interested as I am having problems with high frequencies and probably have aids in my future. When you get a phone call on your cell does the sound come into your ears through the BT link? If the phone is paired to a car also, when in the car where does the phone send the sound - to the car speakers or your aids?

I wear a necklace with a microphone and bluetooth electronics. My hearing aids are like any other wireless headset I suppose. Whether I link to my cell phone or the bluetooth in my car the sound is transmitted directly into my hearing aids. The past couple of years the technology has advanced exponentially.

I have been tracking the advances made with CRISPR (DNA Editing) and hearing loss. It will be interesting to see when they begin clinical trials with humans!!!!
