Model 3 charger won't latch

Hi. New to forum and Tesla-by-marriage. Patience, please!

My husband's Model 3 cable won't latch to home or mobile charger. Light turns dark blue briefly, then goes yellow and there is a clicking sound. Tried cleaning the cable and port with alcohol... no luck. Two questions: 1) Any ideas to rectify the issue short of roadside service? We live in a remote area and can't make it to a service center. 2) Is this a common occurrence with Model 3 or Tesla in general? Rick had a similar issue once before and the car's internal charging cable had to be replaced.

I had that once. I did a re-boot of the system by pressing and holding the 2 scroll wheels. That solved my problem. Hope it works for you.

Take a good look inside the charging port housing for plastic bit(s) left behind by a defective-ish charge handle you used on the road.
