They'll make up for size by being on far too much. I can drive the windy highway to my cabin without touching the brakes yet someone behind me who doesn't know about regenerative braking would think I'm riding the brakes.
Would anyone prefer for the brake lights to be like those on a current PRIUS -- sort of a zig-zaggy Omega-Beam? Or perhaps as vibrantly bright as they are on any Volvo, where they actually look as if they are ON, all the time, until someone uses the brake -- then they get even BRIGHTER? Yes... I think they are a bit small, but I'm willing to defer to the final reveal. The wonderful thing about tech cars is a quick change in the software can change how lights behave.
