A discussion over in the Model S forum about the extended warranty and pre-paid service plans made me wonder what Tesla might end up pricing those plans for the Model 3.
Currently, a 50k mile service plan is $2100 for both the Model S and X. The extended warranty is $4000 for the S I believe.
Any guesses as to how Tesla will price the Model 3 equivalents? They claim their service department is not run as a profit making center, and they have their competition to think of (BMW 3-series, Audi A4, etc)
Personally, I am hoping for a service plan priced the same as the one we just bought for our Audi at ~$860 for 50k miles. That was a steal. BMW bakes in the service plan to the cost of the car (an even better deal).
Extended warranty-wise I am hoping for something in the neighborhood of $2000 (half the cost of the Model S plan for a half-priced Model 3)
