Model S Illuminated Door Sills

I ordered and have received the Model S Illuminated Door Sills as a Christmas present for someone who has the new Model S on delivery. However, I just realized it says "Note: Compatible with Model S vehicles produced in April 2016 - 2020." I'm guessing I will need to return them since the owner has the redesigned Model S? Bummed out because I was hoping that would have been a good gift to go with their new Tesla.

Definitely confusing. The title says:

But the fine print says:
Note: Compatible with Model S vehicles produced in April 2016 - 2020.

You'd think they could try a bit harder and have the years match up.
