Comfort was super light in the AP1 and/or AP2.0 Model X. It definitely wasn't in the AP2.5 (not sure when or how many times it changed, but I had problems with mine [fixed under warranty], and the service center confirmed that particular difference is a feature of it being a different steering rack [so I'm stuck with ridiculously heavy "comfort" steering]). I have no idea on the new X, but this is something where you need to drive an X with the same hardware, because there's no guarantee that everybody else's Model 3 or perception will match yours to begin with.
