Model Y black substance near tail light

Hello, near the passenger side tail light, there seems to be soft substance on the sheet-metal. It feels like a black rubbery or foam-like substance. it looks to be partially painted.

Just wondering if anyone had an opinion about the substance is? Is it leftover sealant that should be there? Is there supposed to be sealant or foam at that location? It isn’t present on the driver side though, but since there’s the charging port on that side, not sure if the design is different.

Thanks so much.

It looks like the “expanding foam” that is applied inside the quarter panel before paint. Designed to expand in paint bake ovens to seal gaps at joints and deaden sound.
Excess can be trimmed with a careful razor blade and touched up with white paint to blend.
Tesla service or DIY if you have matching paint kit.
