Hi,
I have a 2022 Model Y Long Range and started noticing a faint rattling sound when my HVAC is running. (When I say faint - it's really faint that it can only be heard when the HCAV fan is running at low speed - so faint but annoying). Made a service appointment with Tesla and after about 10 mins they sent me back on my way saying it's normal and if want Tesla to troubleshoot further I would have pay the hourly rate
So, I tried to troubleshoot the noise myself and start by opening up the frunk and removing the tub and HEPA filters. Two things I noticed:
1. Lots of water in the channel that connects to the HEPA filter. Picture attached - blue paper towel is mostly submerged.
2. Rattling sound is actually tied to heat pump. When heat pump is running it looks like it's vibrating quite a bit causing the rattling noise. Is this normal? Could the noise be related to heat pump running low on refrigerant?
