New Model Y Noise

The minor hum I'm hearing doesn't sound alarming.
The noise was very irritating in my car. It was occurring at all speeds, but the pitch changed and it was louder at 60mph plus. It was driving us crazy anytime we were on a hwy. noise didn’t start until car had about 4k miles.

I have no idea if we are talking about the same noise. Noise in my car was obviously emanating from rear motor. Front motor made no noise.

After the rear motor replacement, the car is silent, aside from motor noise during deceleration, which sounds cool and is obviously normal, unlike the whine we were experiencing at all speeds.

Like others have reported here, it took multiple service visits (3 in my case) to get it addressed. First couple of times they acknowledged noise but said it was normal and I should feel grateful it wasn’t louder like it is for some owners. Went to different service center for final visit and they did replacement.

If your motor/s are making a whine sound, it is not normal.
