I am also researching this option. My wife needs the left door pedal installed. She found a company here in Los Angeles that would do the instal. She wasn’t quite sure what they were mentioning about sending the car for a “reset” after they instal the pedal for an additional $500.
I called Tesla (assuming SA in LA area) about this route and they said I would
Void the warranty if we did any kind of instal and electrical work.
So my thought is, if there’s a mechanical option instead of an electrical one and not voiding the warranty.
Im quite baffled that almost all auto manufactures would have a support program for people with disabilities, including a rebate program to have one installed, but not Tesla. Not much progress for a forward thinking company.
