Model Y sunroof breaking issue?

Hi guys,
I am considering to buy Model Y over Model 3 because Model Y has the huge sunroof with incredible view that come with it.
At the same time, I'm wondering how tough the sunroof is? Can the sunroof survive after a hailstone? Will it break after a hailstone?

The glass roof of the Tesla Model Y is manufactured with laminated glass, same as a windshield. If the hail stone is large enough then the roof could be damaged, need to be replaced.

I unfortunately had hail on our MY while camping. It was not large enough to damage bodywork though. I wasn't worried about the glass at all.

I think you would get significant body damage (hood, pillers, trunk) before the sunroof would shatter.

this is why insurance is so much $$ but if that did happen then insurance would cover ...

Ive been through a hail storm with my Y and I was worried about the body before the glass... If it breaks the glass, then likely its near totalled the body of the car.

I SEE. THAT EXPLAINS WHY INSURANCE IS A LAW ENFORCEMENT IN THE STATES. Xd
