I tried it, didn't work to put it to sleep. I was just testing it to see if I'm missing out on anything anyway, didn't find that I need it

Tessie doesn't put the car to sleep, only the car can put itself to sleep. That setting allows you to open Tessie and look around without waking the car. This isn't possible with Tesla's app, it always wake the car when the app is opened.
