Music Please and Buying Advice

You can answer 1 or all of these dimwit questions :)

1. Is this new FSD worth ordering the really expensive new one / and the heat pump? I thought all upgrades were OTA.

2. There are some current models / well 2020 no miles on the inventory that I thought were good value - they are the 267 battery version, is this a rubbish battery now?

3. The limited warranty - surely does not affect your statutory rights does it? Not by law obviously - but are there horror stories you know off - of court action against major faults Tesla not keen to fix?

4. Can you upgrade your sounds system if you love your music?

I have a 740d which is about to cost me £1300 for a warranty in summer £700 for brakes £700 for service and £1000 on tyres - its paid for - so I am thinking about either a model 3 - or an X5 ( good resale value )

! - IMO FSD is not worth it in the UK as the regulations have all but nobbled it, you can buy it for 48hrs after purchase to give it a go then get a refund - heatpump is standard on a 2021 and on car

2 - The battery isn't rubbish on any model, the newer model adds a few miles extra range due to the efficiency of the heatpump but other factors should be considered first before purchase.

3 - Can't say i've seen any major warranty refusals etc - everyone seems to get things fixed without too much trouble although some repairs can take a while due to parts availability.

4 - There are aftermarket options available for the soundsystem. www.hautopart.com

If you need a referral code for 1000 free supercharger miles, there is one in my profile ;)

I will have a read of those above shortly - Tesla forums are reams of intel - great but a lot of work I will take a look thanks. Those "used" ones to me seem extraordinarily reachable - it has really made me feel a lot better about getting one. I am not a fan of plugging in - I'd need to obvs add a 450 - 800 to that for the home charger option but thats not much.

And great find on that sound system wow. And get a specialist to fit it - sounds lovely. I will be able to do some googling to find out if the sound of those components is any good as it is a lot of money for an 8 inch driver and two speakers tho. The M3 has Equaliser so you don't really need a DSP unit.

Two 8 inches possibly or 8 inch in the load through hatch with nothing in the way might work. But again yes, it looks as though any specialist might be able to do a better option, glad to know people have thought about it and its happening.

Which other factors might you point me to that thread?

I did quite a bit of research before doing a review on one for a YT film last year but things move super fast -
