MX Extended Service Agreement (ESA)

What year is your X? We’ve been thinking of the ESA, or getting something new. Early when we first got out X, the FWD arm and sensor had to be replaced. Basically every component for one door and the middle spine components. I asked to look at the bill and it was over 8K. But things haven’t gone wrong since.
It's an Aug 2016 build. I know statistically, past reliability is not an indicator of future reliability, but this car has given us very little trouble. A falcon wing door alignment noticed at pickup, and a third row seat stuck in the up position in 2016, are the only issues.
And yet, it is a Model X with so many components that can fail, and almost impossible to do DIY repairs.
Still on the fence...

Ultimately, what makes your product better than going with Tesla? I’m approaching 40K and heavily considering this option or just switching cars outright. Thanks!

As far as overall coverage - both are great and almost the same exclusions.

X-Care Highlights:
  • X-Care has half the deductible with $100 per visit (Tesla ESA = $200 per visit)
  • Matrix style pricing so it might end up cheaper if you are in the right parameters (2016 MX with 30k-40k miles will be $4,799 for a 4 year and 50,000 mile additional coverage)
  • 24/7 Roadside Assistance
  • Towing service for breakdown to nearest service center
  • Trip Interruption
    • In the event of a Breakdown of a covered component or part, We will reimburse You up to a maximum of two hundred ($200) dollars per day for a maximum of five (5) days, not to exceed a total of one thousand ($1000) dollars, for expenses incurred by You for meals and/or lodging, provided: You cannot operate Your covered Vehicle due to a Breakdown covered by this Contract and are more than one hundred (100) miles away from home, and expenses are incurred between the time of Breakdown and the time repairs are completed. (The date of Breakdown shall be considered the first day). One (1) day’s Trip Interruption expense shall be allowed for each eight (8) hours, or portion thereof, of required manual flat-rate labor time.
  • Ability to use for Rideshare or commercial use for an additional $350
