My first impressions on FSD

My significant other has a new (since May) Tesla MY. We took our first road trip (AZ to TN to WI and back) which covered 4500 miles. I purchased the FSD subscription for the trip. My initial results were mixed. I would never pay $10,000 for the FSD package as it stands or even the $200 monthly subscription fee. Glad I was able to try it first. I will admit, it has potential. First off, it would just apply the brakes when in randomly when in FSD, even though there was no traffic. Also the nag screen became a nuisance. I will say that driving through the mountains at night was very convenient as it followed the road flawlessly. All in all, I think when it's working right, it has merit but I believe they have a ways to go.

I still don't understand how they can get away with calling it Full Self-Driving, it does no such thing.

The Nag screen does in Autopilot too, WAY annoying, even when looking straight forward and having a hand on the wheel

The current subscription is def not full self driving. They should just rebrand it as EAP cause that is what it is for the majority of people who are not part of the beta.

But you don't need FSD for that - AP is included on every model Y AFAIK.

Fully agreed on FSD definitely not being worth $10K at the moment.
