MYP spare

I have a ModernSpare for our M3P already.
About to take a 3500 mile trip in our new MYP - will it fit? MYP has 21" while M3P has 20" rims.
Also - are there mechanical implications to having a smaller size temporarily installed on an axle side while the other is 21"
I know in legacy cars with complex differentials its a no no

Have you tried asking Modern Spare? The key dimensions are the outer wheel diameter (~28 inches) and whether the spare wheel has enough clearance for the e-brake components in the rear. I don't believe the front should be an issue.

I have the same circumstance so I just emailed them today and received an almost immediate answer.:

Hello Mike,

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Unfortunately, you cannot use the Model 3 kit on the Model Y or vice versa.
All components including the tools will all be the same, minus the tire itself.
The Y will use a larger tire than what is used on the 3 and therefore is not compatible.
The overall diameter of our spare tire and wheel combination is sized to be right and correct for your vehicle’s drivetrain. This is a critical design feature for proper function and use.
