I know about computers but I do not know about networks. I have - through ATT- three ways to access the internet, and it to have it access me, through my modem/router. I have 3 Channels (?), a 2.4 GHz(My SSID), a 2.4 GHz Guest (My SSID-guest) and a 5GHz (my SSID). I have put my MS on the guest network and it seems to be working.
I just got the latest update (was 7 updates back before SC pushed the latest (at that time) update to my car a month ago. Two nights ago I received the very latest update (2018.24.1 12dd099) so it appears things are working as supposed to. Looking at my modem's software ( 192.168.X.XX) I see that for the Guest network bytes were received and sent. Here's what this looks like:
2.4GHz Guest ATT2EuR6TX_guest Transmit 1945149050 1694222 1 0
ATT2EuR6TX_guest Receive 254662809 1056084 0 0
Why is the Transmit quantity (Bytes) more than the Receive quantity? Shouldn't it be reversed ? more received than transmitted?
Can anybody help a network clutz?
