2020 model x, bought used from Tesla. Always had a feeling that the suspension feels loose over bumps, because there are lots of knocking/rattling sound. SC visits didn’t help.
Today I finally got to jack up the car, both front wheels off ground. Tried “shaking the wheel”, and immediately notice all kinds of rattle/knocking sound when I move the wheel back and forth. Both wheels do this.
I think the noise seems too much like some part of the wheel hub/half shaft is loose. i took the wheel off, and tried shaking every part I can see, but couldn’t reproduce the rattle. I think the knocking sound is only from when the wheels jerks. Possibly some ball bearing.
What do you guys think? Is this normal? Do you hear this on your model x?
