Odometer screen fades in sunlight

Hi all, just wondering if this is normal. Approaching year 1 of ownership with this amazing car and I'm finding that if left in sunlight, the odometer display will fade. It can get bad enough that you can't read any numbers.

I'm sensing this is normal for this display tech but wasn't too sure. Any searches I've made are showing me posts from Model 3 owners comparing their odometers to their max mileage.

The display becomes readable after sitting in the shade.

Mine has always done this, though I thought it was related to temperature rather than sunlight. But, yeah, totally normal if somewhat annoying.
