OEM All-Weather Mats - anyone else dealing with this and is there an easy solution besides returning?

Like the fit and style of OEM, but for whatever reason the mats are slippery when dry (haven’t used yet when wet outside). I usually am wearing rubber sole sneakers, but that doesn’t help. Anyone else experiencing this and is there an easy way to fix without returning? Will whatever is coating the mats (from the manufacturing process maybe) be resolved with more use?

Try wiping them down with some isopropyl alcohol? Maybe some kind of manufacturing oil on them? Otherwise an easy fix would be to slap some skateboarding grip tape on them and put a Mountain Dew in the cupholder

Hahahaha - and great idea, will do! Maybe I should be wearing Vans instead of Nike as well

Take them out and scrub them with a stiff brush and powdered soap. Mine came a little slick too.

Spray them down with Simple Green degreaser, wipe off with towel. Let dry. You don't even need to remove them from the car. This is what I do with mine each time unless they are really soiled.
