There’s definitely a limit to everything, but you’ll never know what’s that limit unless you do it.
I was lucky enough to get a Jason on board with Signature to build “THE WORLD’S FIRST 18” DRAG SETUP” for the Model S Plaid (might also be the first in the world to do an 18” on any Model S) We started the conversation in July, wanting to see if we can do a proper drag setup for the Plaid.
At Signature we don’t just build a wheel and hope it will fit; this is all about careful measurements around the entire brake assembly and suspension. Of course there’s some extra work involved, but we were able to figure that out together and here we are.
Congratulations to Jason to be the world first PLAID owner with the 18” Signature SV104

Front: Testing out 275/40/19 & 285/40/19

The smaller diameter wheels will work well... have you also considered staggered rim widths with the rear slightly wider?
I think the tri-motor design could benefit from a bit more rubber to hook with the track and drive the rear wheels.

I keep checking here for mine to pop up. Pilot S4’s in 295/30-21 are back ordered nationwide. My local America’s Tire found me to in Arizona and 2 in North Carolina, on their way here.

MS Plaid delivered on Wednesday. SV104 wheels (triple tinted black) installed w/ Evannex gorilla black lugs just a few hrs after.

• Front: 20 x 9 fit w/ Michelin PSAS4 (255/40/20)
• Rear: 20 x 10.5 fit w/ Michelin PSAS4 (285/35/2)

Jamie was the best helping me throughout the process! Highly recommended!
