Amazing that Tesla saw this coming and prioritized thousands of Tesla to ship to Canada.

Twofold benefit was to allow as many customers as possible to qualify for the Ontario incentive while keeping deliveries in the US below the 200,000 mark to maintain the full US tax credit until the end of the year.

While the news is all over perceived things that Tesla is doing wrong, they totally miss what they are doing right.

Plus now that the model 3 is going to be effectively 20% more expensive, that's going to bite in to Tesla sales in Ontario. EV sales in the province will drop by 80% thanks to the short sighted policy changes.

I checked in official site it says you get 14,000 , but maybe they didn't update their site lol

If you looked at the top of that page you would see:

Notice: On July 3, 2018, Ontario cancelled the cap and trade program. Given the Electric and Hydrogen Vehicle Incentive Program and the Electric Vehicle Charging Incentive Programs are funded through cap-and-trade proceeds, these programs are cancelled.

Or it was short-sighted to have raised it to $14k in the first place. In any case Most provinces have no EV rebates and the effect that Canada could have on Global warming is minuscule at best. It would be far more effective (if one cared about such things) to raise taxes on gas and get people out of their super-sized SUV's. If someone actually lowered taxes on gas, now that would be something to complain about... Ouch. At leat it makes for good populist politics even if out air pollution will get much worse.
