P85D Going To Lake Tahoe

Planning on going to Mammoth Lakes, CA from SoCal in a few weeks. I have the S100D running on 21". Will I need snow tires to go up there?

I'd suggest confirming your 21" tires aren't high performance "Summer Only" tires since they lose traction in cold AND don't have the proper tread pattern for mud & snow ("M&S" rating).

I bought a used set of 19" Tesla Cyclone wheels and Michelin M&S tires for our 2015 P85D+ for out-of-state road trips where potholes are a problem... and snow trips. They worked fabulously in Breckenridge & Denver last winter in snow, slush, mud, gravel and potholes. They replace our 21" Arachnids with Michelin Pilot Super Sport "Summer Only" tires which I run when home in SoCal.

Maybe I should rent out my 19" Tesla Cyclone wheels and Michelin M&S tires ??? :D
