Paint Repairs

Hello,

I recently picked up a 2023 Model Y. Unfortanately, there are some issues with the paint and they need to send the car to the body shop. I was wondering if the repairs will show on Carfax reporti, if it does it will bring down the value if I sell the car in the future. Thank you.

No; Dealers routinely repair vehicles damaged during transport. Customers usually won't know that the hood was repainted or cracked glass was replaced. The vehicle can still be sold as new, i.e. never titled.

Thank you very much. Yes, the hood needs to be repainted, and there is paint haze on the trunk but I don't know what they are going to do to fix it.
