You need a lawyer because in the event your car is totaled and the wait is 6+ months for a new car, you need to have a like replacement rental. What this means is you need to be reimbursed to rent another model Y until you get your new car. I had this happen on my MB G500 and the repairs took 4months... using a lawyer they got me a G500 to drive until my car was repaired (covered rental cost for like car).
