Parts backorders?

Our model x has been at the auto body since December with no end in sight for wait times.. The main part needed to start work( liftgate) has been backordered until Feb and the date keeps slipping anyone else experiencing the same thing and what's your wait times this far?

that's just crazy! I barely had the car for a week before I got rare ended!
Is there an ETA for the parts you waiting on?

No ETA. Unless you count “they will take some time”

TBH we both know it doesn’t take that long for these parts to be made or shipped so my conclusion is Tesla just don’t care and don’t treat these requests with priority.

For example my parts are most likely made by a 3rd party, my car is a late 2018 model and neither of these parts have been changed yet so they could simply ship them from Fremont or direct from supplier and it wouldn’t take that long even if they stuck them in a container with another car bound for EU....

Thankfully I love the car so much that I’m not mad but I don’t expect I’ll have these anytime soon
