Performance range increase

The 2021 S performance is now showing as having a 387 mile range!! The long range is still showing as 402 miles. Is this a new rear drive motor or battery density increase?

402 was just an EPA update, 387 is probably just the same, done later.

My suspicion is that this is all due to thermal management of the battery with the new heat pump. You could use the heat pump to thermally manage the battery keeping resistance low and thus increasing range. It would explain why the Y had more range than the 3 initially, why the 3 increased. Maybe the performance S is getting the new heat pump currently, just added for increased range and in a short time we'll see standard range S increase to 440 or so. It's a thought....
