Hi all,

Been lurking for quite a while. I wanted to pass on some information that I just received from my SA.
Ordered 10/20:
P3D+ White/Black
Delivery in Rocklin, CA

Just called my SA to ask for a status update. SA said no VIN had been assigned, but that her computer indicated delivery would likely take place between 12/22 to 12/25. I inquired about scheduling a delivery appointment now (granted very premature) to ensure I could take delivery on a day that I would not be out of town or travelling. I was told that was a big no go, without a VIN assigned.

Thanks to everyone for the ongoing information. Hope this helps.
I will be picking up in Rocklin too. P3D+ White/White - No FSD. Ordered 10/14. Going to text my SA now to see if he can see any scheduled build date.

This thread has sure grown in the last 2 days! It's exciting to finally hear VINs are being distributed.

I ordered 11/25...White/White no FSD in Florida. Why do I get the feeling that even if it does make it this year, it'll be like a 12/30 or 12/31 delivery date....

don't say that.. i'm vacationing to Mexico on the 27th, it would suck if i'm scheduled for pick up after that date.

Speaking of GTR's, I had a '17 GTR also. Other half wasn't a fan of the car because he said it always sounded like it was going to break #DCT lol. Went to Tesla and we purchased a Model X and while waiting there, I test drove a P3D+ and was instantly sold. This wait is going to be worth the car.

This was a fun car, but I don’t think I’ll miss it when I have my P3D+.

Ordered 10/14 and my SA reached out to his manager who looked and saw a build date for my order for 12/19. Coming soon, but sucks that most folks in NorCal are last T_T.

geez, thats some real BS. Theyre going to call you with basically a 1-2 day window to take delivery before 12/31 meanwhile east coast who ordered way after you took delivery sooner.

im in exact same boat however im sure with AZ order 10/12

Yeah, I'm just lucky that my holiday travels are done. It still sucks that I have to be ready for them, but that's how Tesla works I guess lol. I just want the car, it was fantastic when I drove it, so I'm sure ownership may be worth it.

Ordered: 10/9
Performance
Silver/Blk
No FSD

I just talked to my SA about the details of my lease and got a small bombshell dropped on me. So, my friend ordered and received his Tesla (same exact config as mine, above) in September of this year. His total due at delivery was $3500 and his payments are $739.41/month (10k miles/year, 36 months). Total cost of lease will end up being $29,774.35.

When I went in to place my order I told my SA I wanted to do the same, so I paid my $2500 deposit that day and was told I would pay the $1k balance when I took delivery. Well, now they are telling me I owe $3427, not $1000. What I think happened is that my SA took my $3500 as a "cash down payment" only and so now they are adding the taxes and fees on top of that to make my total due at delivery $5927 (minus the $2500 I already paid).

They told me that between Q3 and Q4 the taxes went up and the residual value went down, which is why my lease will be costing over $2k more than my friends who leased his just a few weeks before I ordered mine. Does that make sense?

At this point they are trying to get me to take a Stealth model instead (same config but with 19" wheels), at almost the same price my friend leased his full performance model. Total cost of lease would be $28,755.12 - about $1k less). I waited 8 weeks for them to tell me this and I want to go strangle someone right now...

The manager at my dealership told me they see VIN's well in advance but they don't give them out until "the last minute" because if something happens, such as a vehicle becomes available sooner, the VIN could change. But take that with a huge grain of salt - I don't believe anything these guys tell me anymore.
