Is there any way to be notified that you left your iPhone in the charger when leaving the car?

Yes, if your car does not self-lock when you walk away. Keep in mind that leaving your phone in the car is the same thing as leaving your keys. Anyone can jump in and drive away...you will only make that mistake once.

If you have/get an Apple Watch, you can set up a "Notify when left behind" alert when your iPhone is no longer detected near you in the Find My app.
