Phone key setup - fails to communicate with car

I recently got a new phone (Pixel Fold) and have had sporadic issues with my phone key (Model Y).

I have the prompt to add a phone key, but it gets stuck in "communicating with car" and then throws the error "unable to communicate with car".

We've restarted the car, removed all keys, restarted the phone, uninstalled the app, reset Bluetooth settings, etc.

Anybody else experience this?

Did you ever find a solution? The same thing happened to me with a Google Pixel 6 Pro and I can't get the phone key to connect. Tried all the same troubleshooting steps
