Everyone knows how hard it is to shoot a black car for pictures. I had to wait for the "golden hour" (for photo oriented people) to give it a go. Here are the pics.

Black Model S - Pano roof, OEM Carbon Spoiler, 21 inch Axis wheels, XPEL full front wrap, XPEL Prime Tint.

I noticed that. I was beginning to research if that was normal or a factory defect. Thanks for the heads up. I will get that done in my next SC visit.

My refreshed is exactly the same way so may be normal or may be manufacturing calibration error. Let us know if you find out and I will do the same. Nice pics.

My black refreshed S 90D that I took delivery on last month has exactly the same issue. It is most noticeable on the passenger rear door. It is slightly misaligned on the driver side rear door.

Photos and car look great. The misalignment issue boggles my mind. This has been ongoing for years (not necessarily in that area). Anyone with manufacturing expertise care to explain why Tesla seems to have more issues with this than other car manufacturers?

My trim was the same between driver and passenger door. Very annoying as it seemed magnified in my side view mirror. It was a simple adjustment to the trim at the SvC. The doors were fine.

Edit: And your car looks great!

Nike - did they keep your car, or was it a while you wait adjustment?

They kept it while I shopped, had lunch and got a manicure. I dropped it off mid morning and was back for pick up ~ 3pm. It may have been ready earlier, but I was busy. :D

Is that solid black or obsidian? also, did you have the front license plate holder removed when you did the XPEL or did it come that way?

This is the solid black color.
I removed the front plate before I took it in for the XPEL install. It was really easy using the 90 degree long tip pliers to remove the two bottom bolts.

You have reaffirmed my love for black vehicles....when they are clean.

Ordering very soon and will be getting the black as well. Beautiful ride.

Man, that makes me want to increase my workload so I can get an S in 6 months instead of one of my 3s in 18 months. They did right by changing the front end.

I have the same problem on a much older VIN. When I asked the SvC if they could fix it, they said it was bodyshop work and I'd have to take it to a Tesla approved shop.

I just checked my coworker's refresh S. His car does not have this alignment issue. I will definitely get mine fixed at the SC.
