Picking up from out of state?

I live in California and am about to pick up my Model Y in New Jersey in a couple days. Just got a message from Tesla saying that I need to get the car back to California in 7 days for "inspection". First I've heard of this. They called me and didn't have much more information and can't seem to find any information about this online. Does anyone have knowledge or experience picking up a Tesla out of California and bringing it back to California? Thank you!
