That the distances in the Smoky Mountains aren’t that long is a great point. We never expected to find a cabin with a charger and didn’t need one. No problems running up to Klingman’s dome and back down - it’s just not that far. And such a fun drive especially in the Tesla. Actually thinking back I remember having to pull over for a while in our old Jeep Liberty because the transmission got too warm going down in low gear. Regenerative braking makes the descent just so smooth and hassle free.
