Plaid Test Drive

Does anyone have any advice to test drive a plaid other than Turo. Because the closest Turo is 3+ hours away. Most likely not, just figured I would ask. Thanks!!

I test drove an LR at Tesla, 80mph limit. Then test drove a 22 plaid at CarMax, drove it like I stole it. No intention of buying, just bored. Easy and no pressure from sales guy.

I'd just go test drive a MS LR. If that's enough for you, great. But if you stand on it and can imagine much, much, more thrust with no tire squeal or pulling to one side or the other - just drama-free violent acceleration - then you'll know you want the Plaid.

...and if you think you might want a Plaid, you WILL want a Plaid. It's just a question of when you realize it.

I picked up a used 2021 Plaid from tesla.com after having test driven a new long-range. The long-range was nice, but it just didn't have enough kick.

As for tire noise, I'm running 19" Tesla winter wheels and tires now and have the 21's for warmer weather. No doubt the ride is bumpier with the 21's but I can't say there is noticeable tire noise from either set. Maybe if you've got old rubber or are down to the wear bars?
