I don’t want to have it on all the time. To be honest I enjoy a car with bright headlight. But I am not gonna be entitled and try to blind others when it is unnecessary. Like I said, that 12 V battery doesn’t charge on it’s own. Mine doesn’t come equipped with a solar panel either.

Not having it on all the time is your own preference, and that is of course fine. If you want to manually control it, you have to go into the system. The idea is to automate things as much as possible.

The fog lights are not blinding anyone. They point down and out.

How much energy do you think fog lights use? Your battery isn't going to run out bc of fog lights. I think you have range anxiety. Give it time, you'll learn to relax with the whole battery situation.
