Newbie question but do only the sport models have the adjustable front sway bar?

No. Many base models were ordered with the adjustable suspension. Tesla also offered the adjustable suspension as an upgrade that you could install later. Not sure if they still offer it.

I also noticed steering got much easier when I finally stopped replacing the higher performance 08 tires with the lesser performance 07. The 07's last much longer, make steering easier and didn't make that much difference to performance when driving on typical streets.

That depends on how you drive. The 07s have a lot less grip when you push it. You can either choose better handling or tire wear- its all what you expect from your car.

Can you give a more complete name/number for the tires you mention? If you are talking about Yokohama Advan AD07 and AD08, then as far as I know the AD08 is not made in the size required for the Roadster front wheels.

Yep, looks like you're 100% correct, they don't make the AD08 R in anything less than 205mm width.

I imagine he's confused the "08" with the "A048." That's the "performance" tire option, in 195mm width.
